Arvin Ma embarked on his jazz journey during his high school years in the United States in 2016. By the age of 18, he was already sharing the stage with acclaimed jazz artists like Karrin Allyson, New York Voices, and Jeff Coffin. Simultaneously, he actively engaged in various music festivals, achieving notable recognition, including a Third Place at the Berklee High School Jazz Festival and two consecutive Championships at the Maine State Vocal Jazz Festival.

Despite receiving offers from institutions like Johns Hopkins University, his passion for studying contemporary music and the support of his family led him to attend Berklee College of Music with a merit-based Berklee World Tour Scholarship.
